Music in workshops

Soft background music is neat while socializing, but when it's time to do a simulation game, a little jazz might be preferable.

Music can reinforce, or elevate our positive moods, and can run off our negative feelings. To a certain extent. The more we are in tune to the emotional impact of music, and the more we choose certain types of music to stimulate particular effects, likely the more we do not ease up on sad, hateful and aggressive moods. Which may not be a bad idea if we wish to unblock some blocked grief.

Different types of music may induce different "brain rhythms", yet it is not the only factor that determines the emotional impact. Cultural related reasons can provoke very specific emotions. And our "past associations" with particular music may have a major impact on how our bodies react to it. A song may be wonderful, but if I associate that song with an unfortunate experience, I am more likely to experience that negative memory than wonderings on soul harmonics.
